Vijan Hospital & Research Centre, formerly known as Vijan Cardiac and Critical Care Centre, was established on December 6, 1987. The hospital was relaunched on the auspicious day of Akshay Tritiya, May 2, 2014.

Founded by Dr Vinod Vijan (DM, MD), the hospital was the first cardiac care centre in North Maharashtra, marking the arrival of the region's first super specialist who migrated from Mumbai in 1986. The hospital has an Income tax exemption facility by Govt of India for cardiac patients.

The landmark facility has been serving patients across North Maharashtra, including Nashik, Dhule, Nagar, Nandurbar, and Jalgaon districts, as well as neighbouring areas of Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. In recognition of its contributions, Nashik Municipal Corporation named the road where the hospital is located Dr Vijan Hospital Road.

The hospital is accredited by the International Society of Cardiovascular Ultrasound and is National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers Certified.
