What is CGHS?

Procedure to Download Latest CGHS Hospital List PDF?
Follow the simple steps given below to download the latest list of network hospitals empanelled under the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS), you can follow these steps:
1. Visit the official website https://cghs.nic.in/
2. In the Beneficiary section, click the CGHS tab. On the Empaneled Hospitals page, choose your city from the drop-down box.
3. Press the "Submit" key.
4. Select the "Print" button in green colour.
5. From the destination drop-down, click on Save as PDF
6. Then, Click on the Save button.

The Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) is a government-run healthcare program in India that provides medical coverage to specific categories of government employees and their families. - Neurosurgery
- Acute Limb Ischemia, Rupture of Aneurysm, Medical and Surgical shock and peripheral circulatory failure

- Non-communicable diseases such as cancer, hypertension, and diabetes

- ENT (ear, nose, and throat) conditions

Facilities availed under CGHS
Currently, CGHS covers over 41 lakh beneficiaries throughout 75 cities in India, and efforts are being made to expand that number to increase service accessibility.
- CGHS offers healthcare through the following medical systems:
- Allopathic
- Homoeopathic
- Indian medical system
- Outpatient care at CGHS wellness centres, including consultation with doctors and specialists, diagnostics, and referrals to hospitals as needed
- Inpatient care at empanelled hospitals, including hospitalisation, surgery, and other treatments as required
- Maternity and child healthcare, including pre-and post-natal care, delivery, and neonatal care. IVF treatment is also approved under CGHS.
- Free supply of essential drugs, including generic drugs, from CGHS dispensaries
- Anti-Cancer and other similar medicines are supplied on a case-to-case basis. CGHS shall provide medication as per the available brand name / generic name.
- Ambulance charges are reimbursable within the city if there is a certificate from the treating doctor that conveyance by any other mode would endanger a patient"s life or grossly aggravate their condition.
- Emergency care at any hospital, including transportation to the nearest hospital in case of a medical emergency
- Specialised healthcare services, including treatment for chronic conditions, cancer, and other diseases.
