About Hospital

Spandan Hospital, Kolkata, embarked on its journey on May 21, 1995, under the guidance of four visionary leaders: Mr. Pijus Kanti Pal as Chairman and Managing Director, along with Mr. Parthasarathi Mandal, Mr. Monaj Pati, and Mr. Alok Kr. Ghosh as Directors. Initially housed in a modest 800 sq. ft rented space at Rabindranagar in Paschim Medinipur district, West Bengal, we began with essential facilities such as portable Sonography, Analogue X-Ray, Routine Pathology, and ECG.

Our growth trajectory gained momentum as we expanded our services year by year. In 2000, Spandan proudly introduced the district town's first CT scan unit in West Bengal. Since 2002, we have embraced the PPP (Private Public Partnership) model at Bankura Sammilani Medical College & Hospital, marking a significant milestone. Over the years, we have continued to innovate and serve, operating both as a private enterprise and in collaboration with various State Governments.

Spandan's commitment to providing exemplary healthcare led to the establishment of a 101-bed hospital in Midnapore, aimed at delivering superior medical services to the district. Presently, Spandan is proud to be associated with the Governments of West Bengal, Assam, Orissa, and Bihar. Another landmark achievement is our multispecialty 150-bed hospital in Teghoria, Kolkata, underscoring our dedication to healthcare excellence.

Innovations such as the first PET CT, 3T MRI, and the first true Digital X-Ray in the PPP model with the Government of West Bengal highlight Spandan's pioneering contributions in the field of Medicine and Healthcare. Notably, our PET CT scan in Guwahati held a monopoly in the entire northeastern region of India during 2016.
