He has actively contributed to the field through research, workshops, and numerous publications under the Gastroenterology department.

Dr Kanwaljeet, a laparoscopic surgeon, is recognised as the first and senior-most gastrointestinal surgeon in Punjab in its surrounding regions. Apart from this, he was awarded the University Gold Medal for Best Postgraduate Student in Surgery.
