The hospital room tariff has increased from Rs 7,000 to Rs 10,000. This increase raises questions about its justification, especially in light of the prevailing inflation rates. The increase in hospital tariffs should ideally align with the inflation rate to ensure that the costs remain reasonable for patients.Further, there is no standardized rate , hospital charges are based on pocket size of patients.
