Dr Lt General Umesh Kumar Sharma is a specialist in Nephrology with a rich experience of 43 years. He served in Armed Forces Medical Services for 38 years and four months and superannuated in Jun 2019 at the rank of Lt General. He served in various teaching tertiary care hospitals of the Armed Forces in New Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Mumbai as a Professor and Head of Medicine and Nephrology. He was awarded the Chief Of Army Staff Commendation and honoured with Ati Vishsht Seva Medal (AVSM) by the Honourable President of India. He was appointed President’s Honorary Surgeon (PHS) during his service. He is the recipient of the prestigious Dronacharya Award of the AVATAR Foundation. He has handled numerous complex medical cases and is known for attention to detail, accurate diagnosis, and treating patients with empathy.
